Booking your first boat trip in Kuwait shouldn’t feel complicated. We’re Mubarak and Mohammed, two friends who’ve dived and fished these waters together for years, and we started SeaQuest Trips in 2018 to run honest days on the water. This guide walks you through exactly how it works, from picking a date to stepping off the dock at Al Khiran, so you know what you’re paying for before you book.
How a private charter works
Every SeaQuest trip is private and priced per boat, not per person. You book the whole boat for your group, and the price stays the same whether you bring 4 people or a full crew. The boat holds up to 12 passengers, with 8 included in the price. We run out of Al Khiran Resort and Marina in south Kuwait, right on the Arabian Gulf.
You’re not sharing the deck with strangers. It’s your family, your friends, and our captain, and the day runs on your pace within the six hours.
What a day on the water looks like
A full day is six hours. You’ll meet us at the marina, and we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before departure so we can get everyone aboard and brief the captain. From there we run to the island you chose, and the day is yours: swim, snorkel, fish, or just drift in clear water and eat lunch under the shade.
The boat is a 38-foot center console built for real Gulf conditions, with a large overhead shade, a proper toilet with a fresh-water pump, a Bluetooth stereo, and all the safety and navigation gear we rely on. You can read the full spec on our boat details page.
What’s included and what you bring
Everything you need to enjoy the water is already on board. Included on every trip:
- Fuel for the whole day
- A 150-liter cooler with drinking water and ice
- Snorkeling equipment, pool noodles, floats, and a sea rug
- Free paddle board use
- A freedive buoy with line and weights
- Fishing gear: handlines, hooks, and weights (no license needed for recreational fishing)
You bring your ID (in case of a coast guard check), lunch or snacks, swimwear, a towel, a long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, and a hat. If you get seasick, bring your medication, and if you prefer your own rods or dive computer, bring those too.
The three islands at a glance
We run to three islands south of the marina, each with its own character and price:
- Alhala Island (KWD 150): about 15 minutes out, a quiet reef close to shore with shallow, clear water. The easy pick for families and kids.
- Um Almaradim Island (KWD 160): about 30 minutes south, with a clear lagoon, coral heads, and serious fishing on the run out and back.
- Qarouh Island (KWD 180): the diving jewel of the south, with coral, turtles in season, spearfishing, and snorkeling. It’s currently not bookable, but ask us about it as a seasonal or on-request trip.

How to book and pay online
Booking is simple. Choose your trip and date on the rates and booking page, then pay online through secure checkout over the KNET network. We take Kuwaiti Dinars only, and your trip is confirmed once it’s paid in full.
The honest basics
We’d rather tell you the rules up front than surprise you later:
- If you cancel, KWD 50 is deducted and the rest is refunded.
- There’s no refund for no-shows, and you pay the full price if you cut a trip short.
- If the weather turns bad, we reschedule to another date rather than run a bad day.
- Passengers under 18 need a guardian aboard, and tell the captain before departure if anyone can’t swim.
- Transfer to and from the marina isn’t included.
